Los Angeles Pied-a-terre for supermodel Georgia Fowler
Supermodel, Georgia Fowler's, primary home away from her native New Zealand was New York City. Upon suggestions to add an LA outpost for her constant travels, she invested in a gorgeous Meditteranean property with ivy covered courtyards and marble floors.
Her busy work life and globe trotting meant we would be her team on the ground, working quickly to set up the new pied-a-terre. The indoor-outdoor dialogue of the architecture and Georgia's own warm and easy personality were cues to create a welcoming oasis: something calm and comfortable, simple and elegant.
The existing black and white marble floors flowing from the outdoor in proved to be the perfect graphic counterpoint to her preferred palette of natural materials and vintage furnishings. Though it wouldn't be her permanent home, there were sweet personal touches throughout, our favorite being a custom framed photograph from the client’s good friend, fashion photographer, Darren MacDonald.
